Cardi B has jump to Offset defense yet again amidst growing backlash from some fans.
The Migos rapper has been feeling the heat from fans today over a homophobic lyrics in his new single with YFN Lucci, “Boss Life.” One fan took it one step further to tell Cardi B that she deserves better and that proves to be a big mistake. We all know that Bardi is quick to clap back at fans on social media and this is no different except that she didn’t upload a video rant about it, just a simple response on Twitter.
“Cardi, you deserves someone better than Offset (I will always love you and respect your choices),” the fan wrote. The “Bodak Yellow” rapper quickly responded saying, “Don’t tell [me] about who I deserve with him or not you don’t know how he matured me. before I met him I ain’t had a lawyer, business management and I was insecure about my music he gave me confidence and help me get my business situated.”
She has since deleted that tweet, but not before folks got a screenshot of it. She also posted another tweet defending her response after some fans still wasn’t satisfied. “People are just too miserable for me I’m sorry I’m to blessed to be dealing with ya sh*t today. The negativity is not going to tarnish my feelings from these blessings and opportunities I’m getting. Have a good day.”
#TweetAndDelete: After all of the backlash #Offset received for his "queer" song lyric, #CardiB responded to a fan who suggested she deserved better than him. She ain't here for the negativity tho! #Swipe
Demarco says he is “Comfortable” with his new smash hit single.
The dancehall veteran is starting out the new year with another hit under his belt. His new single “Comfortable” was released last weekend and already it’s getting a lot of attention on dancehall airwaves. Demarco produced the single himself and released it under his own label True Gift Entertainment while offloading the distribution to Zojak World Wide.
“I’m a well-rounded artiste, producer, songwriter and engineer. When I go to the studio, I generally start off with a blank slate and whatever mood I am in or the feel I get, I just start writing; after I find the right melody, I then determine the direction I want to go,” Marco said.
Demarco has over ten years experience under his belt in the music. He started out in the mid-2000s as a producer before transitioning into an artist. He has since released a number of big hits like “Fallen Soldiers,” “I Love My Life,” and his recent single with Akon and Runtown “No Wahala.” The deejay signed a deal with Akon label last year and has been pushing his career internationally since.
Demarco revealed that he is shooting a music video for his new single “Comfortable.” Listen to the new song below.
Tommy Lee Sparta’s new EP New Creator has debut at No. 9 on the Billboard Reggae chart.
The EP was released on January 5th under Ricardo Gowe Records and has been doing well on iTunes. While that is an impressive achievement for the Guzu Musiq deejay, the sales figures paint a different picture. The project sold only 63 copies in its first week of release. Tommy Lee Sparta thank his fans for their support on IG despite the low sales numbers.
“New creator ep #9 on #billboard reggae charts #godisgood Spartans we all mek this possible y’all not my fan we family,” he wrote. Elsewhere on the chart, you will find Chronixx debut album Chronology at No. 8, SOJA’s album Poetry In Motion is at No. 6, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley‘s Stony Hill is at No. 4, while the top spot is being held by American band The Green.
Tommy Lee Sparta is currently working on his upcoming debut album, due in April of this year. The project will be the first off his multi-album deal with Sean Kingston’s label Time Is Money Entertainment. Chronixx and Damian Marley are currently battling with three other nominees this year for Best Reggae Album at the upcoming Grammy Awards. A rep for Sparta told us that he hopes to get a nomination next year for his upcoming album.
Aside from working on his new album, Tommy Lee Sparta is gearing up for some upcoming shows in Europe and the wider Caribbean. Last year was a big year for the former Gaza deejay who dominated the airwaves with his music after going back to his Gothic dancehall roots. He also scored some points in the streets for his diss tracks aimed at top-flight deejays Alkaline and Mavado. If you haven’t got a copy as yet, you can get Tommy Lee’s new EP on iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon.
Lyrics to ‘Troye Sivan – The Good Side’ by Troye Sivan:
The guitar-infused ballad with lovely late-arriving synths comes from his upcoming sophomore album, due out this spring. In it, he sings about his acknowledgement of his wrongdoings in a relationship — which many fans believe was the same relationship he was singing about on his debut album Blue Neighbourhood.
Tay-K maybe incarcerated but his music, in this case, “The Race” is still bumping.
The 17-year-old rapper released the song while he was on the run from feds after going on a crime spree. The single “The Race” is now platinum. The single went viral last summer and is showing no signs of slowing down. The track also spawned a number of remixes from rappers like Lil Yachty and Tyga. The song garnered enough buzz to prompt Tay-K’s fans and some fellow rappers to call for his release from prison via the hashtag #FreeTayK.
I should also note that Tay-K is facing some pretty serious charges including murder, kidnapping and armed robbery. Despite his lengthy rap sheet, “The Race” has now surpassed a million units in sales as of January 12th, roughly six months after its release, according to the RIAA. The viral single was recorded and the video was shot while Tay-K was on the run after escaping house arrest. He was eventually captured and placed behind bars and once fans realized his ordeal it further fuels the streaming online. The song peaked at No. 44 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Tay-K is now a platinum-selling rapper which is not bad considering he is just 17 and facing possibly decades in prison. Last year November, rumors surfaced claiming that K signed a lucrative record deal, but a rep for the rapper later dismissed the reports as bogus. Sources say, however, that a deal is currently on the table with conditions that he can beat his murder case. He is expected to go on trial for at least two capital murder charges this year and a few lesser but still serious charges.
If he is freed this year, Tay-K is lining up to be the next breakthrough young rapper. If convicted, he could be sent to prison for decades.
