Sean Don and Boomin come together with the help of some of their famous friends for a 10-track production that will keep your head nodding for the rest of the year. The tracklist includes guest appearances from 21 Savage on the single “Pull Up N Wreck,” Swae Lee on “Reason,” Travis Scott on “Go Legend,” Young Thug on “Even The Odds,” Kash Doll on “So Good,” and 2 Chainz on “Big Bidness.”
The project was only announced last week and earlier this week, Big Sean revealed that it will be hear on Thursday at midnight. Metro Boomin is also having a big year with two joint projects with Gucci Mane and 21 Savage. During a recent interview with Billboard he explains his thought process about putting the album together. “I was born in ’93,” he said, “and a lot of projects [from that era] had one producer, maybe two. They sounded more cohesive — better as a whole.”
“I believe music is a way of getting away from things,” Big Sean added, “but it was heavy on my heart, and I felt the need to talk about it.” This is BS second album this year after dropping I Decided in February.

Quality Control gave us 30 new songs on their new compilation album Control the Streets Vol. 1.
The album features an all-star lineup including Migos trio, Offset, Quavo, and Takeoff. There are also some well-recognized names in the current batch of hip hop artists including Nicki Minaj, Kodak Black, Cardi B, Gucci Mane, Lil Yachty, Young Thug, Travis Scott, Ty Dolla $ign, and more. Nicki and Quavo are featured on a previously announced single, “She For Keep,” which is included on the project.
Elsewhere on the album, you will find Cardi B and her boo Offset on the single “Um Yea.” Like them or not, you can’t deny that Migos is the dominant rap group of this generation and individually they are still shinning. Their footprints are all over this project with Offset and Quavo teaming up with Lil Yachty, another dominant young rapper, for the single “Menace.”
Quality Control’s chief executive Pierre “Pee” Thomas and chief operating officer, Kevin “Coach K” Lee both put the star-studded lineup together. “There’s some artists we could’ve signed if we were trying to get some right-now money, but we’re trying to build something for the long run,” Pee told the NY Times.
The album Control the Streets Vol. 1 is now available for streaming on iTunes/Apple Music.
Alkaline rise up the “Helter Skelter” in his new song produced by DJ Frass.
Some dancehall fans are already calling the track a diss aimed at Popcaan and Vybz Kartel, but we reached out to a rep for the Vendetta deejay who told us that it’s not a diss record. That still is not stopping fans from drawing comparisons between Alkaline and Vybz Kartel new releases. While the incarcerated deejay has been dropping an average two songs per week, the Vendetta deejay hardly drops a single song per month this year.
Alkaline and Popcaan have reignited their beef this week when they started taking shots at each other on Instagram. The social media feud erupted when the Unruly Boss went on a rant on IG Live when a fan asked him to send some shout-outs to his dancehall rival. The “Suave” deejay has been having a phenomenal year with at least half a dozen smash hit singles in constant rotation on dancehall airwaves.
Let’s see if you can add this new track “Helter Skelter” to his growing list of hits. Take a listen below.
The cut was exclusively released on iTunes last night but for those who are not subscribers to Apple Music can now view it on YouTube. The futuristic video was kicked off by Quavo who raps beside his vintage Ferrari. The fast and furious inspired video also features Offset and his girlfriend Cardi B riding off into the night in their supercar. What is very interesting about this video is the fact that Nicki Minaj and Bardi was never in the same scene together.
Nicki Minaj caught everyone eyes with her skimpy and shiny outfit. The Young Money rapper stepped in front of the camera wearing long pink braids while gyrating behind a white vintage Lamborghini. “Motorsport” is the first single to be released from Migos upcoming album Culture 2, slated for release in January. The Atlanta rap group has been working on the project for the last couple of months and it will be the follow-up to their No. 1 album Culture, released in January of this year.

Juicy J continues to prove to us why he is a rap icon with his new album Rubba Band Business.
The album is the follow-up to his 2013 LP Stay Trippy which debut at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart. Rubba Band Business is Juicy J’s fourth solo album and it comes with 13 tracks with some guest verses from Offset on “Flood Watch,” Tory Lanez and Belly on “On & On,” Wiz Khalifa and Ty Dolla $ign on “Ain’t Nothing,” and Travis Scott on “No English.” Wiz is featured on another single “Too Many” which also features Denzel Curry. Among the producers who got credit for their work on the LP includes Mile Will Made It, Metro Boomin, Murda Beatz, TM88, Resource, and Ben Billions.
Juicy J has been working on the album since last year summer where he would occasionally teased snippets from the project up until last month when he revealed that he would be dropping it soon. The Memphis rapper has over two and a half decades in the rap game under his belt dated from his time with Three 6 Mafia, so when he drops a body of work everyone pays attention. Despite tapping into some new kids on the block with this project, J still manages to keep that authentic OG noise on the LP.
