The Vendetta boss celebrated his 24th birthday on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, and a lot of his fans and celebrity peers including some of his close dancehall friends like Mavado, DJ Frass, and more. Perhaps his biggest shout-out came from BET who tweeted out a photo of the dancehall star with a happy birthday message that reads, “Big up to #Alkaline on his earth strong! #HBD.
Some of Vybz Kartel’s Gazanation fans didn’t believe that the shout-out was authentic when Vendetta fans started sharing it on social media. Some folks even suggested that it was photoshopped, but it was and we included the original tweet on this post for you. The back and forth between fans of the two dancehall rivals are hilarious.
“Vybz kartel can’t even get a shout out from sting BET and the red carpet #vendetta straight,” one fan wrote while another added, “The Gayza fool them a try say a fake but now them silent when them find out its real. A bunch of badmind individuals just like the cage boss.”
“Lol. I swear Jamaicans people are in denial… when Unu a guh admit a alka a run dancehall now? A did kartel once up on a time but not anymore… n the photo is actually real, cos if y’all took the time to go on Twitter (like I did ) you all would’ve seen the photo.. unu too badmind, man. Acting like kartel is suppose to be the only successful Jamaican dancehall artist,” one Vendetta fan clap back.
Alkaline and Vybz Kartel are two of the leading artists in dancehall this year with dozens of hits between the two of them that only serves to further fuel their rivalry.

While Nelly contemplates if he wants to sue his rape accuser, she beats him to court.
The St. Louis rapper, real name Cornell Haynes Jr. was sued by Monique Greene for sexual assault and defamation, TMZ reported. Greene is the same woman who refused to cooperate with prosecutors about the alleged incident where she claimed Nelly raped her on his tour bus. The prosecutor has since dismissed the case against the rapper and then he threatened to sue her to restore his reputation.
“It comes as no surprise that Ms. Green filed a lawsuit against Nelly seeking money after we announced our intention to hold her accountable. We always believed her accusation was motivated by greed,” Nelly attorney said in a statement. The rapper’s legal team also threatened to countersue Greene which will result in a legal showdown.
Greene told authorities that she was partying at a club in Seattle on October 6, 2017 where Nelly was performing. She said that she work at the club but was not working that night and was instead partying with the rapper and his entourage. She claimed that Nelly invited her to an after-party and she complied and went with him inside his SUV. Greene added that she was taken to his tour bus and Nelly invited her inside and she complied and went with him towards the back of the bus where he had a room, and that’s where the sexual assault took place.
She told police officers that Nelly forced her to have oral sex with him after she watch him masturbate in front of her. She also accused the rap veteran of having unprotected sex with her against her will. In her police report, she said he later kicked her off the bus and threw a hundred dollars at her. Police arrested Nelly on the scene where his tour bus was parked in a Walmart parking lot.
The Atlanta rapper snag a guest spot on the pop mega star’s new album Reputation, which was released on November 10. Future and Ed Sheeran is featured on the single “End Game” and now we know for sure that a music video is coming. The Freebandz rapper and Taylor Swift were spotted hanging out on a luxury superyacht on Tuesday with a bunch of other smoking hot chicks on the boat.
Ed Sheeran wasn’t spotted on the set, but that doesn’t mean that the singer will not be a part of the final product. The song “End Game” is currently No. 14 on the Billboard pop chart and climbing. Future drop three albums this year and is featured on a bunch of other projects which is a testament to his work ethics. He recently settled his $10 million lawsuit with Rocko, who is a former friend of his who claimed that he signed him to his label A1 Entertainment only for Future to break the terms of his contract and signed a deal with Epic Records.
Back in October, Ding Dong drop a new single “Flare” where he took a shot at Busy Signal and everyone was caught by surprised given that the Ravers Clavers deejay is not known as a war deejay. It didn’t take long for Busy to respond with a gritty diss record “Stay So” and now we have the video and its even grittier than the song.
The video concept is like a short film with some familiar faces that are cast in past music videos for Vybz Kartel. The cut was directed by Dameon Gayle for Warrior Musick Productions. The clip starts out with Busy Signal hanging out in the ghetto with his crew smoking weed and drinking rum while spitting the lyrics for the Gangsta anthem.

According to the Doc, Pamputtae is ungrateful because she did got a chance to perform but the crowd just wasn’t feeling her. “I was booked to performed at 4 o’clock and when he arrived at the venue some minutes to four, he heard that Pamputtae wanted to perform. The dancehall legend said he orchestrated for her to get some stage time, and this is how she repays him. Nevertheless, she made it clear that she will not return to the annual show for another performance.
