The new line will feature T-Shirts, hoodies and tank tops, as well as, accessories like stickers and enamel pins. Shaggy grew up in Rae Town despite being born in Kingston.
“I was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica … and if anybody knows about dancehall music and the cultural music of Jamaica, Rae Town is where the sound system culture came from,” Shaggy said. “Rae Town was a place that was very popular and everybody would come down to Rae Town for these notorious street dances. Me being in dancehall music and being so successful at bringing it to the mainstream, I found it only fitting to name our apparel company Rae Town.”

XXXTentacion is speaking out amidst criticism about his mental state and why he is a troubled rapper.
The Lauderhill rapper has been having a successful year, but it comes at the expense of his life getting a lot more scrutiny. He was also embroiled in a number of controversies that took place this year like his recent fight with some guys that he thought were Migos and it turns out to be not them and he later had to apologize to Takeoff. He was also rocked with rumors of him being suicidal and some fans starting to think that its all a publicity stunt.
“I love the way people will throw negativity on my name but have no clue what I’ve been through,” he wrote on Instagram Stories. “Let me clear something up, the reason I don’t have a complete grasp on my emotions is because I’ve been through sh*t that has f***ed me up emotionally when I was younger. Imagine being at least 6 to 7 years old watching your uncle hang from a noose all because of a woman, and then having someone you f*** with killing themselves with no consideration at all to you. Imagine being locked up and in and out of programs from the age of twelve until this f***ing year, ni**a, I don’t have a mom or dad around, I was alone, I was homeless, my family gave up on me, only person there for me was my grandma.”
XXXTentacion says that he never grew up with a father figure or an older brother in his life to guide him. “I’m emotionally f***ed up and insensitive because I’ve been mentally alone for a very f***ing long time, and I fear, and feel like I’ll never know what it feels like to be truly loved by another human [being],” he added. X told his fans on Instagram that he thinks about ending his life everyday. “If you think ending my life isn’t on my mind all the time you f***ing stupid, it’s these kids keeping me alive, it’s these kids that are the reason why I’m able to do what what I do, not these media platforms, these kids believe me, these kids see the fu***ng pain in my eyes.
Just when we thought that Cam’ron and Mase made peace, the Dipset rapper offload a new diss track “Dinner Time.”
The former Bad Boy MC surprised fans last week Friday when he released a scathing diss track “The Oracle.” The song was the number one topic in hip hop over the weekend with Mase ripping Cam’ron on every line on the single. After taking shots at Mase all weekend on social media, Cam finally coughs up a response in the form of a song and he went in on the rapper turn pastor then rapper again.
“But who you talking tough to? Blinky just snuffed you / Puff f***ed you, we’ve seen in those binoculars / Passed you to 50, he was finger popping ya / Then he took it back like a fly b*tch that was popular / You’re 42 still saying “Ain’t no stopping ya” / You know my deals—liquor, movie, and flashy kicks / How you talking deals? Your last deal was ’96,” Cam’ron raps over a trippy beat. The Dipset emcee also denied allegations that he had sex with his own sister, saying that he doesn’t even have a sister. The diss track “Dinner Time” was produced by The Heatmakerz, who also produced another Dipset record that surfaced a few days ago that features both Jim Jones and Cam.
Over the weekend, the two rap veterans exchanged comments on Instagram signaling that they might have made peace and bury the hatchet. YOU STILL MY BROTHER IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE…This was just for bragging rights #mase #theoracle,” Mase wrote to which Cam’ron replied, “Yea this was fun.. u still my bro too. Glad I get to brag lol. So when u leaving Harlem again? 2mr?” The Bad Boy rap legend then followed up with another post on Instagram. “Sometimes You Can Be Better Than Your Critics. #Mase #theOracle Keep All Secret Love… If it’s real post it or don’t tell me about it at all. #mase #theOracle,” he wrote in the caption of an iconic photo of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.
Nipsey Hussle is on the verge of dropping his new project Victory Lap and now he is making some major moves.
But before that album arrives he is making some major label moves. The Crenshaw rapper signed a new partnership deal with Atlantic Records. Nipsey spoke about the details of the deal in an interview with Billboard. The partnership will encompass several albums including his upcoming debut Victory Lap. His own label All Money In will also take shelter under his new deal with Atlantic.
“It’s not about a fame ambition or getting a radio record,” Nipsey Hussle told Billboard. “The decision really came down to the message I’m trying to get across. I wanted to give that message the best chance to be heard and consumed on the highest level. That was my goal from the jump as All Money In took time to build its position in the hip-hop lane.”
Atlantic Records chairman/CEO Craig Kallman and chairman/COO Julie Greenwald released a statement praising the rapper for his work ethics and vision. “Nipsey is not only an extraordinary MC, but a true visionary and innovative entrepreneur,” the statement reads. “Over the past seven years, he has built an incredible brand that reflects his independent, non-traditional approach to what it means to be a creative artist in the modern music marketplace. We are thrilled and honored that he has chosen Atlantic as his label home.”
Nipsey Hussle recently made headlines for his split with his baby mama Lauren London. “[Lauren London] and I had a dope relationship and made a Beautiful child,” he wrote. “We are deciding to separate and raise our Son together as the main priority. This was A mutual choice and We will function with each-other as family w love and respect.”
Nipsey was previously signed to Epic Records but parted ways with the label in 2010 to form his own imprint, All Money In. He said that he was inspired by rappers who started their own labels like JAY-Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records. “Those labels started off as boutique operations, reached a boiling point in terms of cultural relevance and then partnered with a major to help take things to the next level,” Hussle said. “My vision is to build something like that. I really believe in Atlantic’s Julie Greenwald, Craig Kallman, [president of black music] Mike Kyser, and [senior VP of A&R] Dallas Martin. That’s their vision for All Money In as well. We’re not just taking a check and giving up all the credit for the work we’ve done to get here.”
Fergie will be on FOX’s new show “The Four” as the host.
There were some talks that the former Black Eyed Peas singer/rapper would be joining the show as a judge but now she has confirmed via a video on Instagram that she will be the host. The judges for the new talent show includes Sean “Diddy” Combs, DJ Khaled, Meghan Trainor and Charlie Walk, so Fergie is the icing on the cake among some big name stars.
“I am very excited and proud to be the host of The Four: Battle for Stardom,” Fergie said Monday in a statement. “This is a unique and modern show format that I believe will set the standard for the next generation of singing competition series on TV. I am looking forward to being by the contestants’ sides during what could be the most important performances of their lives. Along with these amazing panelists whom I know and love, I hope my experiences as a solo artist and as a member of The Black Eyed Peas can help guide them in their quest to make it in the music industry.”
The Four has been dubbed the next big hit in talent TV show since American Idol came to an end in 2015. That show will be revived on ABC in March of next year, so this means that American Idol and The Four will likely go head to head for ratings. The show premieres on January 4th and will be aired live every Thursday for a once a week episode series.
“Fergie is a genuine superstar,” Fox president alternative programming and specials, Rob Wade, said. “She’s fierce, she’s a force in her own right and she knows exactly what these singers are going through. So who better than her to help guide them as they fight their way to the finish.”
