Yo Gotti drops his new album I Still Am and you can stream and download it on iTunes/Apple Music.

Gotti already scored a platinum-selling single off the project with “Rake It Up” featuring Nicki Minaj. During the summer, he also released a joint EP with Mike WiLL Made-It, Gotti Made-It. But this new album I Am Still is the follow-up to his 2013 project I Am and is a bit of a sequel. The album comes with 13 tracks and sees guest appearances from Chris Brown, 21 Savage, Meek Mill, YFN Lucci, and French Montana.

I Still Am is the ninth studio album from the Memphis rapper who continues to show growth in an era when the industry is competitive. “Rake It Up” with Nicki Minaj is perhaps the biggest hit of his career. That song peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has been certified platinum. Chris Brown is featured on the single “Save It For Me,” Meek Mill and YFN Lucci is featured on the single “One on One,” and 21 Savage is featured on “Yellow Tape.”

The cut arrives only a few weeks after the collaboration was previewed. The single pays homage to the popular Bridges sandals and Clarks Deserts boots which are both popular in dancehall culture. The cut was directed by RD Studios and produced jointly by Romeich Entertainment and Tommy Lee’s label Guzu Musiq.

“Bridget’s & Desert” marks the first time that Shenseea and Tommy Lee Sparta are collaborating. “Them a pree and a talk and a watch yo everyday / And them man child support cyan match yo pay / When you a make moves them a pussycl**t play / Weh them know bout you girl,” Sparta deejay. The track is currently available on iTunes/Apple Music for streaming.

Shenseea made some major breakthrough in dancehall this year following the success of her collaborative single with Vybz Kartel, “Loodi.” The Mobay deejay is also having a great year with a handful of hits as he continues to push his gothic dancehall movement. Yanique ‘Curvy Diva’ Barrett is defending herself amidst growing backlash from the Christian community.

The dancehall deejay/TV host has been getting some hear from Christians who are calling on her to change her lifestyle. Barrett says that this is not the first time that the Christian community is turning its attention towards her. In her defense, she is simply asking for a word of prayer rather than more judgments. “I had on clothes so for them to go so hard and tell me I need to find Jesus is too much,” she said. “Is weh dem know bout me and God.”

The Curvy Diva added that the not because she is a sex symbol means that she is lacking morals doesn’t have a relationship with god. She said regardless of the criticism, she will maintain her faith in god. “Sometimes, they just need to give me a break,” she added. “They are too hard, and sometimes things nuh called for. I have a relationship with God. I grew up Adventist, so regardless of being a dancehall artiste, I’ll always have that connection with God. I go to Church, but it’s not even about going to Church, it’s more about having a relationship with God. I pray before I go on a dancehall stage, and knowing that I have a relationship where I can call on God is more important to me than saying I’m a Christian or not.”

Yanique ‘Curvy Diva’ Barrett is currently getting ready to release the music video for her debut single “Lifestyle.” The video was shot in Jamaica last month and will premiere on sometime soon.

Gyptian picked up two African Entertainment Awards at the Cicely Tyson Theatre in East Orange, New Jersey recently.

The dancehall singer has been missing on the scene in Jamaica but he has been doing very well in the motherland. He was nominated for three awards at the 3rd annual African Entertainment Awards held in New Jersey this week. He won in the category Award of Achievement where other local acts such as Spice and Mr. Vegas received nominations.

Gyptian also won an award for Best Caribbean Artiste where he edged out artists like soca star Machel Montana. He missed out on the award for Best Dancehall artist which was picked up by Shotta Wale. Dancehall and Afro beats has been on the rise in recent years and even making its way into mainstream music which gives life to awards shows like the African Entertainment Awards (AEA) in the U.S. The AEA has been growing in popularity since its inception in 2014.

Gyptian also performed his new single “Closer” and “Leave You Alone” at the African Entertainment Awards. “I knew about the performance, but didn’t know about the honor,” the “Hold Yuh” singer said. “It was a real surprise and one that I am humbled to receive. Thank you to the organizers of the AEA Awards, the Essex County Board of Chosen Freeholders, and all of my fans. This is much appreciated!”

Bob Marley‘s Hollywood Walk of Fame star was completely destroyed by someone on Monday.

The reggae legend’s star on the world famous Hollywood Walk of Fame was severely vandalized yesterday by someone with malicious intent. Walk of Fame spokeperson, Ana Martinez, broke the news on Twitter when she posted a photo of the damaged star. “Why would anyone do this to Bob Marley’s star? Help me understand. The Walk of Fame is a State registered Historic landmark! Disrespectful,” she wrote.

Martinez later added that the star will cost $3000 to be repaired and it will be done by the Hollywood Historic Trust. “It will cost nearly $3,000 to repair Bob Marley’s star on the Walk of Fame after it was found vandalized this week,” she wrote on Twitter. At the time of this publication, Bob Marley star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was being repaired and will be spanking new by weekend. “Bob Marley Walk of Fame star is being fixed by Star-maker Vince as we speak. Thanks to the Hollywood Historic Trust,” Ana added.

She also revealed that cops are investigating the incident and the perpetrator could be prosecutor. The damage to the star appeared to be made from a heavy object like a sledgehammer. Bob Marley died in May 1981 and has been widely regarded as one of the greatest musicians to ever walk the earth. The king of reggae was awarded a star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame located at 7080 Hollywood Blvd.
