DJ Envy got trolled relentlessly on social media last night over some racy SnapChat messages allegedly between himself and a female.
Screenshots of the alleged messages hit the net around midnight and all while he was sleeping he was getting hammered on Twitter. Imagine waking to your name trending on Twitter for all the wrong reasons. The Breakfast Club host responded to the messages on the show this morning. “I don’t know where [the messages] came from,” Envy said. “Whoever it was has been chasing all the reputable blogs, [and] nobody posted it. And I guess they found one that has.”
DJ Envy was the butt of jokes from his co-hosts Charlamagne Tha God and Angela Yee who trolled him this morning. Charlamagne even posted a video of the radio host/producer walking into the office with a big smile on his face. “Now am go tell ya’ll some real sh*t,” Envy said. “That was me and Charlamagne going back and forth on SnapChat.” Charlamagne responded saying that he is way more kinkier than that on SnapChat. “Can’t be true I am way more kinky than that,” he said.
Nevertheless, this is some added publicity for DJ Envy who is currently working on his forthcoming album.

Dancehall HipHop reported this week that Alkaline new song “Hard Tackle” is the top trending dancehall song on YouTube. The anti-haters anthem was released on Saturday and already it’s stirring up some controversies with Popcaan fans going on the attack claiming that the Vendetta boss bites his style from his 2016 hustle anthem “Nah Idle.”
Poppy injected a catchy line in the chorus “You cyaa just a idle, a idle, a idle, a idle / Granny tell mi say yo mouth need waan bible.” Fans are comparing that line to Alkaline’s chorus “That’s why me say hard tackle, hard tackle, Hard tackle, hard tackle / Life everyday is a hard battle.” Listening to the two songs you will hear a distinct difference, but the Unruly fans are adamant that their artist’s style was used by the Vendetta leader.
Alkaline fans are pushing back saying he would never copy Popcaan or any artists. “Alkaline on a different level from everyone and that is the truth about this music and some Jamaica people they are so fool,” one fan wrote. “Alkaline do everything in is own way to please his self and the vendetta families who show him love in everything that he do in music.”
Some fans are saying that there are more similarities between “Hard Tackle” and an old Mavado song “Gun Battle” than with Popcaan “Nah Idle.” In fact, Popcaan was widely criticized by Vendetta fans last year for stealing Alkaline’s “New Level Unlocked.” Listen to the two songs below and make your own judgment.
Fats Domino is dead. The R&B music legend died on Tuesday at his home in Harvey, La. at the age of 89.
The Jefferson Parish Coroner’s office confirmed his dead on Wednesday, the NY Times reported. The legendary singer died of natural causes so no autopsy will be done on his body. Fats Domino is widely regarded as one of the most commercially successful artists during the Rock & Roll era of the 50s and 60s, second only to Elvis Presley.
Mr. Domino sold over 65 million records during the peak of his career and was such a musical force that Presley once acknowledged him as his predecessor. “A lot of people seem to think I started this business,” Presley told Jet magazine during an interview in 1957. “But rock ’n’ roll was here a long time before I came along. Nobody can sing that music like colored people. Let’s face it: I can’t sing it like Fats Domino can. I know that.”
Among his most recognized hits includes “Ain’t That A Shame,” “Blue Monday,” “Blueberry Hill,” and many more. In 1986 he was indicted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and in 1987 he was given a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. He also became a well respected public figure in his hometown New Orleans and even made several public appearances to raise awareness and funds in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
Busy Signal come through for a bad wine from the baddest chicks in the dance.
The Turf boss drop a new track “Busy Signal – Bad Wine (Slap it Up)” produced by his in house producer. Signal has been dishing out new music since last month including a new gangster anthem “Stay So.” “Bad wine gal gi mi a bad win / Gal yo bless so mi affi put yo to the test / Ask yo if yo pu**y fat and yo say yes,” Signal deejay.
Busy has yet to respond to a recent diss from Ding Dong in a new song “Flare.” “Mi no Busy Signal no call Gary,” the Ravers deejay sings. Perhaps Busy Signal is not feeling this beef or maybe Ding Dong is not a big enough artist to war with.
