R. Kelly can now breathe a sigh of relief after his home burglary suspect turns himself into police.
The R&B legend’s Georgia home was burglarized last week after someone forced themselves into the mansion located in Johns Creek, just outside of Atlanta. The singer posted a video on social media over the weekend showing his empty house where the burglar, who has now been identified as Alfonso Walker, took everything including electronics and jewelry. TMZ reported that Walker turned himself into Johns Creek Police Department on Monday, nearly a week after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Walker was booked on 2 counts of theft by deception, 2 counts of theft by taking, and 2 counts of burglary. He faces years in prison if found guilty on all counts. According to the police report, Alfonso Walker hired other individuals to clean out R. Kelly’s house and later sold the stolen goods on the black market. Kelly identified the suspect as a part-time employee.
The burglary incident took place over the Thanksgiving weekend when the burglars hit R. Kelly’s two Atlanta properties cleaning them out of everything that they could get hands on. The thieves took TVs, furniture, washer dryer, and other household appliances are all gone.
XXXTentacion is in a serious legal bind and could spend Christmas and New Year’s in jail.
The South Florida rapper posted an image of his court document on Instagram while issuing an apology to anyone who he may have let down if he gets locked up at his next court hearing on December 15th. XXXTentacion is set to stand trial for domestic battery by strangulation, witness-tampering, false imprisonment, and aggravated battery of a pregnant woman. These are all serious charges against the rapper and could put him in the slammer for years if found guilty.
“Court date is on the 15th 9:00 am here is my court information, if I am taken into custody, I want to tell everyone I’ve let down I apologize, I tried my best, I really did,” X wrote on IG. Earlier this month, the “Look At Me” rapper’s legal team filed an affidavit claiming that the victim in the case no longer wishes to pursue the case against him but the prosecution objected and argued that the affidavit might not even be legitimate.
XXXTentacion has been having a rocky year despite tasting mainstream success with his rap career and even landing a lucrative record deal with Capitol Records worth a reported $6 million. During the summer he got into a beef with another rapper whose crew knocked him out on stage at one of his tour stops in California. Last month, he again got into an altercation with some guys link to rap group Migos. Despite getting a beat down, he was defiant on social media about getting back at the Atlanta trio.
XXXTentacion released his new EP, A Ghetto Christmas Carol, ahead of his upcoming court date. The project features five new singles including a song he produced himself “Up Like an Insomniac” where he fired off a freestyle.
Lil Pump had enough of an unruly fan at his concert and then his microphone came flying.
The “Gucci Gang” rapper was performing at a concert in Connecticut on Monday night when the incident took place. The incident came just a day after another video surfaced online showing the rapper roasting a police officer for kicking him out of his hotel room. It’s unclear what took place at the concert in Wallingford, Connecticut to get him so riled up, but it appears that the fan in question threw something onto the stage and that infuriated Pump who threw his microphone back at the fan.
“Come up here and do that sh*t, pu**y,” the MC said. It appears the fan said something back and that’s when he tossed his microphone towards said fan. All that went down while “All the Smoke” by 21 Savage was being played in the background. Lil Pump later went on Instagram Live to explain to his fans what took place that lead to the show ended prematurely.
“If you was at that Connecticut show… sh*t ended ’cause some stupid ass ni**a thought he was funny and he threw some sh*t onstage and he got his ass socked,” he said. “B*tch, don’t you ever try to do no stupid sh*t while I’m performing you f**kin’ dumbass. Of course you gon’ get your stupid ass socked—f**kin’ goofy. I’m sorry to everybody.”
Lil Pump is currently working on a new solo mixtape as well as a joint album with Lil Yachty. There aren’t any release dates yet for those projects but sources are saying that they could arrive at the top of the new year. The viral rapper is currently smiling after getting a $345,000 advance from Warner Bros. for his upcoming debut album. Coupled that with the success of his single “Gucci Gang” makes him already a millionaire at just 17 years old. Look out for what’s to come in 2018 for this rapper.
XXXTentacion want his fans to jam to his new EP A Ghetto Christmas Carol for the holidays.
The Lauderhill rapper has had a rocky year but he is looking to close out 2017 on a high with this new five track EP. You can find singles such as “A ghetto Christmas Carol,” “Hate Will Never Win,” “Up Like An Insomniac,” “Red Light,” and “Indecision.” He is listed a producer on the single “Up Like An Insomniac” along with Ronny J who produced most of the project.
Surprisingly there are no Christmas themed song on the EP despite the title being A Ghetto Christmas Carol. On his self-produced song “Insomniac” he raps about his fame and riches in a fiery freestyle over a bass heavy beat. “Okay, Xans for her dinner, uhh / Bag from Margiela, uhh / Bad little b**ch, she Spanish / Speak no English, got no manners / Just like a gnome, I’m at your home / Right on your yard, shoes are Goyard,” X raps.
XXXTentacion has an upcoming court date set for December 15th where he could very well be taken into custody as the prosecution look to lay down more charges against him. He is currently charged with domestic battery by strangulation, witness-tampering, false imprisonment, and aggravated battery of a pregnant woman.
Kodak Black learned the hard way that he should respect the OGs in hip hop.
Yesterday, the “Tunnel Vision” rapper posted a meme on Instagram where he compared some JAY-Z lyrics from back in the 90s to some of his own recent lyrics. What he was insinuating is that he is a better rapper than Hov where he basically said all Jay raps about in the 1990s was “Money, cash, hoes.” That line was taken from a chorus off his 1998 classic album Vol 2 … Hard Knock Life.
In contrast, Kodak shared some of the lyrics from his single “Can I” where he raps about balling stunting and wanting to live long enough to raise his son. “Can I ball? Can I chill? / Can I stunt? / Would I live long enough to raise my son? / Made something out of nothin’ / And nothin’ what I’m from / Can your boy do something productive for once?” Kodak Black raps. Though he only shared the chorus from JAY-Z’s song, there is a lot more to the song than just that.
Here is what Hov said, “Flavors robust platinum and gold touch / Y’all rap now, fast money lets slow it up / Ni**az try to stop Jay-Z to no luck / Roc-A-Fella forever CEO what what / Us the villains, f**k your feelings.” If you step back and take a look at the project that Kodak Black released the single on, Lil B.I.G. Pac, it is full of nostalgic imagery.
Hip hop fans ceased on the moment to remind him that he cannot be compared to a rap titan like JAY-Z who just released possibly the best rap album of the year, 4:44. “This is f**kin retarded he just compared his self to j z … first of all let’s start with future ,and yo gave the worst example of a 90 s song tf,” one fan wrote in the comment while another added, “What gives you the confidence or assurance enough to post things like this?”
