People talkin’ ’bout what is and what ain’t country
What gives ’em a right to wear a pair of beat-up boots?
Is it the size of your tires and your fires, or your wild ass buddies?
Well, give me a minute, let me hit you with some hometown truth

[Pre-Chorus]
You could be a cowboy on the Texas plain
Or a plowboy waitin’ on the rain
We’re all a little different, but we’re all the same
Everybody doin’ their own thing

[Chorus 1]
I got my dirt road cred when I was 12
On a no cap tractor halling in bales
Backing in boats, fishing landlines
Running bird docks through the Georgia pines
Step side cover down in peanut dust
Friday night spotlight, that was us
It might not’ve been you, but I ain’t judging
Just be proud of what makes you country

[Verse 2]
Does it run in your blood?
Did it come from your daddy and mama?
Where you converted by an Alabama song on the radio?
That feels so right
Did you lock eyes with a little green eyed girl from Jackson?
Tell me what got ya, I just gotta know

[Chorus 2]
Me, I got my Sunday learning in a level church
Silver cream corn in a backyard dirt
Waiting for the fall to finally come along
So I can grab by gun and get my outside on
Step side cover down in peanut dust
Friday night spotlight, that was us
It might not’ve been you, but I ain’t judging
Just be proud of what makes you country

[Brdge]
Might be from a city or a little farm town
Whatever kind of square that you drove around
Do you wear in on your sleeve or keep it deep down?
You know you gotta let it out

[Chorus 1]
I got my dirt road cred back when I was 12
On a no cap tractor halling in bales
Backing in boats, fishing land lines
Running bird docks through them Georgia pines
Step side cover down in peanut dust
Friday night spotlight, that was us
It might not’ve been you, but I ain’t judging
And just be proud of what makes you country
Whatever makes you country

[Outro]
You do your kinda country
They doing they kind of country
I do my kind of country
Whatever makes us country

Say it loud and there’s music playing…
Say it soft and it’s almost like praying
It’s almost like praying

Popcaan and Bugle wants you to “Live, Love, Laugh.” The two dancehall stars collaborated on a new single that is getting a lot of attention.

The feel good single was produced by An9ted Imprint and will arrive over the weekend. A snippet of the track was uploaded to YouTube yesterday giving fans a taste of whats to come. Sources also told DancehallHipHop that a music video is also in the works that will accompany the song at a later date. Bugle’s portion of the track was previously recorded, but the deejay says that he felt like Popcaan would be a great addition.

“I went back in the studio recently and listen to it again and instantly decide that I wanted Popcaan on it,” Bugle said. “Poppi is like family to me so I reached out, he came to the studio, listened the track and the rest is history.”

The song will be available on iTunes and on YouTube as early as this weekend. both Bugle and Popcaan have been having a great run in dancehall in recent years and almost always have a few hits in rotation on the airwaves. The Unruly Boss scored a number of big hits this year, but recently he has been channeling his focus for a cause to help his community of St. Thomas get better roads and development from the government.

Vybz Kartel fans are trolling DJ Frass over a statement he made on Instagram calling Alkaline a hit factory.

Vendetta fans will agree with Frass statement since Alkaline has been having a great run in dancehall over the past few years. But Alka’s rivalry with Vybz Kartel has also earned him a lot of enemies in the genre since Gazanation fans makes up a sizeable portion of the dancehall fan base and now Frass is getting a lot of criticism from them.

“DJ Frass yo no see it say yo a waan big idiot this man is a fish factory, while Kartel is the hit factory, #Gazanation run dancehall,” one fan wrote. There are plenty more similar comments about the statement on social media. Some Vendetta fans are pushing back calling Kartel fans a bunch of haters. “Gaza fans them always on Detta page a comment just a bunch of haters, if you don’t like the man why you on his page trolling,” one fan wrote.

Alkaline vs Vybz Kartel, who do you think is the bigger hit factory?
