Out in the shiny night, the rain was softly falling
Tracks that ran down the boulevard had all been washed away
Out of the silver light, the past came softly calling
And I remember the times we spent inside the Sad Café
Oh, it seemed like a holy place, protected by amazing grace
And we would sing right out loud, the things we could not say
We thought we could change this world with words like “love” and “freedom”
We were part of the lonely crowd inside the Sad Café
Oh, expecting to fly
We would meet on that shore in the sweet by and by
Some of their dreams came true, some just passed away
And some of the stayed behind inside the Sad Café
The clouds rolled in and hid that shore
Now that Glory Train, it don’t stop here no more
Now I look at the years gone by and wonder at the powers that be
I don’t know why fortune smiles on some and let’s the rest go free
Maybe the time has drawn the faces I recall
But things in this life change very slowly if they ever change at all
There’s no use in asking why, it just turned out that way
So meet me at midnight baby inside the Sad Café
Why don’t you meet me at midnight, baby, inside the Sad Café
Jada Kingdom debut her new video “Unwanted” just in time for the holidays.
The cut was directed by Warrior Films and featured the dancehall singer taking a shower before bending down on her knees for a prayer. God finally answered her prayer and when she woke up she found the man of her dreams in her bed. While living out her fantasies it turns out her new man is really a manikin and people started looking at her in dismay.
“No have no time fi slow down, and I won’t let you do this on your own, So put your wait pon me, I can tell that your too weak, Still them don’t see it yet, they can’t come your way I mean it, put yo pon lock and throw away the key,” Jada Kingdom sings.
Kingdom is one of the breakthrough dancehall artists in 2017 after gaining recognition for her unique vocals and her voluptuous body. Watch her new video “Unwanted” below.
The two love birds were on Instagram Live turning on Christmas while everyone else were on Twitter discussing his alleged cheating scandal. Last weekend hackers started leaking explicit videos of Cardi B online and also a video allegedly of Offset with another woman in a hotel room. Sources say the video clip was recorded back in September around the time that the Migos rapper cheated. Other sources are calling the video bogus saying that its not Offset since the clip never show his face, but you can see a thick female parading in the hotel room in her birthday suit.
There were some talks that the pair have broken up again but this video clip pretty much clear that rumor up. We’re told that the spent Christmas together with their families and the two were laughing at the Twitter firestorm cause by the leaked videos. Cardi B went on IG Live last night showing her fans Offset dry humping her. “I don’t got no more in me left you got to give me a whole hour,” she said jokingly.
This is the second time that Cardi B and Offset are getting caught up in breakup rumors over the last few months. Sources are now saying that haters are trying to tear them apart and last weekend Bardi rant in a video posted on IG that things have been going so good for her that she is expecting something bad to happen. “A lot of good things been happening to me ya’ll, it has been so good like you know my career, I got a good azz family, and I am so thankful,” she said in the clip while breaking down into tears. She is absolutely right, it’s been one heck of a year for Cardi B.
The dancehall legend was convicted of murder on November 20, 2017, and was sentenced to life in prison for the crime. In the middle of Ninjaman’s trial, Vybz Kartel upcoming appeal was pushed back from February to July of next year and now we are learning the reasons behind the delay is because of Ninjaman’s trial. But just how much could a trial involving another dancehall deejay affect Kartel’s appeal? Dancehallhiphop.com reported last month that Kartel attorneys requested more time to prepare for the case and it was granted.
Sources close to the incarcerated deejay told us that his attorneys became worried that Ninjaman’s highly publicized trial could have some impact on the outcome of his appeal case. “Maybe they thought that Ninjaman conviction could sway the judges in some way shape or form so it was a smart move to have the trial push back further down the road,” sources said. “You just never know what could happen with these delicate cases and the fact that this may be his last chance at freedom, they want to get it right so I think they made the right decision to push back the case.”
Ninjaman, real name Desmond Ballentine, has indicated that he is considering appealing his conviction, but our legal sources told us that his case was a slam dunk for the prosecution which makes it much harder for him to even get a green light from the appeal court. “Unlike Kartel’s case which had a lot of things wrong with it, Ninja’s case was a slam dunk for the prosecutor who had solid witnesses in that case. That makes it much more difficult for the appeal court judges to approve an appeal.”
Both Vybz Kartel and Ninjaman are currently serving life in prison for murder, but the Gazanation deejay and his attorneys have one more shot to secure his freedom. The Don Gorgon will have to serve 25 years before being eligible for parole while the Worl’Boss will have to serve 35 years.
Lil Wayne drop Dedication 6 mixtape and you can stream it below.
On Christmas Day, Lil Wayne gift wrapped D6 and delivered it to his fan for free streaming. The 15-track mixtape comes with a bunch of remixes for some of the biggest rap songs of 2017 including a remix for 21 Savage’s “Bank Account,” Lil Uzi Vert‘s “XO TOUR Llif3,” YFN Lucci’s “Everyday We Lit,” and Kendrick Lamar’s “DNA.” The Young Money rapper link up with his protege Nicki Minaj for the single “5 Star” which is a remix of the sort of Post Malone’s chart topping single “Rockstar.”
The album also saw guest appearances from some of Lil Wayne’s Young Money comrades like Gudda Gudda, Euro, Cory Gunz, and HoodyBaby. Drake was rumored to be on the project but didn’t make the final cut. D6 is the latest installment in the Dedication mixtape series for Lil Wayne and the followup to Dedication 5 which was released in 2013. Since 2014, the New Orleans rapper’s music has been significantly slowed due to his ongoing legal battle with Cash Money Records. This is perhaps a sign that things are returning to regular order for Weezy, but don’t old your breath for Tha Carter V since that was promised this year and has been delayed since 2012.
