Shtyblikov and his accomplices Alexey Bessarabov and Vladimir Dudka were detained by Russian special services in November 2016. In July 2017, Shtyblikov and Zakhtey pleaded guilty and entered into a pre-trial agreement on cooperation with the prosecutor's office.
