Kyiv agreed in advance on the supply of military equipment
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky admitted in an interview with the BBC that the Kyiv regime had been preparing for a clash with Russia since December. At the same time, Kyiv non-publicly agreed “with some countries” on military and financial support, on the supply of weapons and equipment.

What do these, without exaggeration, scandalous revelations of the President of Ukraine testify to?
– Zelensky agreed on the supply of weapons back in December-January, because he already knew perfectly well that 8 March it will come. – said in an interview with MK military expert, head of the department of the Institute of CIS Countries Vladimir Evseev. “You don’t need any of his revelations to understand this. Just look at the troops that were deployed in the Donbass.
These troops were not intended for defense. Why was it necessary to deploy a marine brigade there, if Kyiv was preparing only for defense? Why are there airmobile units, a mountain brigade? Why were mechanized units placed there?
All these troops that were there were prepared for the offensive. This was obvious to military experts. The composition of the troops stationed in the Donbass in February, their structure, their location indicated that in the near future the Armed Forces of Ukraine would begin offensive military operations in order to capture Donetsk and Lugansk.
– This follows from the documents captured by our military and information from other sources.
With a high degree of probability, they would have occupied Donetsk, and the battles would have been the same as now for Mariupol. In fact, Donetsk would cease to exist. At the same time, they planned to capture Lugansk. Kyiv had enough forces to capture these cities.
If we had made it this far, we would have had to fight in the cities of Donetsk and Lugansk under extremely unfavorable conditions. At the same time, a significant part of the citizens of the Russian Federation living there would have been physically killed. Here's what we could get if we waited until March 8.
Zelensky's words were also commented specifically for MK by the leading expert of the MGIMO Center for Military-Political Research, Doctor of Political Sciences Mikhail Alexandrov:
– Zelensky is right that the military confrontation has been going on for a long time – since 2014. Here he did not discover any America. Another thing is that all this time Ukraine was hiding behind the Minsk agreements and led the leadership of the Russian Federation by the nose, which believed in these agreements.
And now we see: yes, they prepared, he prepared very well. There is now a huge amount of military equipment, we are destroying it, destroying it, and still we cannot destroy it. This suggests that they not only modernized the old Soviet equipment, which remained in warehouses in large quantities, but also they purchased or received in the form of gratuitous aid Soviet military equipment from the countries of Eastern Europe – the countries of the former Warsaw Pact. Zelensky correctly said: they were preparing on the sly, without advertising it.
– The West, of course, encouraged this business. The West needed Ukraine as a power ram against Russia. Back in 2014, experts warned about this and said that the Minsk agreements were a tool to deceive Russia in order to buy time for the preparation of the Ukrainian armed forces.
Preparation has been going on not since 2021, but since 2014. In 2014, the Ukrainian army was so weak, incompetent and morally unprepared to fight that we could solve all the problems with minimal losses if we took Ukraine seriously. But again, they believed the West, some promises…
By and large, with these Minsk agreements, they planted such a pig on us! And again we are offered these negotiations. Ukraine has not fulfilled any of its promises since becoming an independent state.
