Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin said that the West is preparing to strike Ukraine in the back ”during negotiations with Russia. He spoke about this on the air of the ICTV channel.
The former minister said that in January 2022, with a high degree of probability, negotiations on European security will begin between the authorities of the United States and Russia, with the possible involvement of leaders of some European countries. At the same time, the representatives of Ukraine will not be there.
“And this is the second case after Nord Stream, when, unfortunately, as a result of this geopolitical meat grinder, we are not on the issue on which not only our security depends, but , after all, our existence, “Klimkin said.
The former head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry added that, in his opinion, Washington and Moscow are preparing to conclude a” new Yalta “, while key decisions can be made without taking into account the opinion of Kiev.
Klimkin also noted that the upcoming conference will be a “moment of truth” for Ukraine, so the country's leadership should be involved in the negotiation process.
Today, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that in the event that NATO forces appear in Ukraine, Moscow will be forced to take retaliatory military-technical measures. At the same time, the head of state stressed that the blame for the tension in Europe lies on the shoulders of the West.
In turn, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that US private military companies are preparing a provocation in Donbass using chemical weapons, while these PMCs are already in the region.
