“Unprofessionalism in terms of diplomacy”
On April 13, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier planned to visit Ukraine with government delegations from EU countries. However, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky opposed Steinmeier's visit but allowed other EU politicians to come. Domestic experts consider such behavior by Zelensky inappropriate for the head of state.

In an interview with Lenta.ru, political scientist and publicist Leonid Krutakov called the refusal of the Ukrainian president to meet with Steinmeier a violation of protocol and infantilism. The expert believes that this is an internal complex of Zelensky and unprofessionalism from the point of view of diplomacy.
In addition, according to Krutakov, such a decision by the Ukrainian president is a misunderstanding of the formalities of the diplomatic world. The political scientist emphasized that this was “some kind of infantilism.”
It is noted that the Ukrainian government called the reason for refusing to meet the “close ties with Russia” of the German president, including his contacts as foreign minister with the Russian his colleague Sergey Lavrov.
Krutakov expressed his incomprehension as a foreign minister could not be connected with another foreign minister, after all, this is a working relationship. According to the political scientist, the reason for the refusal sounds “very strange.” Krutakov also called Zelensky a “little boy”, noting that the Ukrainian president is taking advantage of the fact that Ukraine is currently allowed a lot on the world stage.
