According to him, the “first wave” has already passed, 50 & ndash; 70 thousand people left the country. “Second Wave” so far, only expensive tickets, rising housing prices, and the fact that “no one is waiting for Russians” are holding back. and “there is no financial connectivity, it is impossible to conduct transactions,” Plugotarenko said.
“But the second wave will definitely be, according to our forecast, from 70 thousand to 100 thousand people will leave in April. These are only IT people, — noted the head of the RAEC (quote from Interfax).
After the start of the Russian military special operation, representatives of the Russian IT industry published an open letter calling for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. It was signed by more than 10 thousand people, including IT people from Yandex, HeadHunter, MTS, MegaFon; and other companies.
On February 28, Kommersant sources reported that employees of Russian IT companies against the backdrop of a special operation and Western sanctions are coordinating efforts to leave the country. To exchange information, groups and channels are created in Telegram. According to the publication, some companies themselves take their teams abroad.
Against the background of these reports, the government on March 2 announced measures to support the IT industry. All IT companies were exempted from paying income tax and inspections for three years. They will also be able to take preferential loans at a rate not exceeding 3%. Employees of IT companies, in turn, will be able to get a preferential mortgage and receive a deferment from conscription for the duration of their work in Russian companies.
