The court overturned the acquittal of the ex-head of the Ramensky region in the murder case. He was accused of the murder of the deputy head of the Public Chamber of the district in 2019 on the basis of personal hostility
The Moscow Regional Court overturned the acquittal in the case of the former head of the Ramensky District of the Moscow Region, Andrei Kulakov, who was accused of the murder of the Deputy Chairman of the Public Chamber of the District, Yevgenia Isaenkova. RBC was told about this in the press center of the court.

The court overturned the decision of the Podolsk city court, rendered on the basis of a jury decision, the regional prosecutor's office filed an appeal.
Evgenia Isaenkova disappeared on the night of May 1–2, 2019, a few days later, on May 4, her body was found in her Mercedes car parked in a forest belt. Kulakov was detained at the end of May, then he resigned. Investigators opened a criminal case against him under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code, the department considered that the motive for the murder was “ personal hostility. '' The Investigative Committee also indicated that biological and sweat traces of the ex-head of the Ramensky district were found on the victim's body.
During the interrogation, Kulakov declared his innocence and said that he had last seen Isaenkova at the end of April. At the time of the murder, he argued, he was at home among family members and could not commit a crime. “ There was no reason to do it, and I couldn't physically do it, '' & mdash; said Kulakov, calling the accusations “extreme surprise.” The defense of the accused asked to refer the case to a jury trial. “ There is a high probability of a favorable outcome '', & mdash; was assessed then by Kulakov's lawyer Artem Sarbashev.
The jury pleaded Kulakov's innocence at the end of October. “ The jury delivered a verdict today and acquitted Andrey Kulakov & mdash; five to one '', & mdash; clarified RBC Sarbashev, pointing out that in mid-November, the court will have to deliver a formal verdict on the case, but the former head of the district was released immediately in accordance with the established procedure.
