The Zakharov publishing house reported that the Moscow Molodaya Gvardiya store removed Boris Akunin's works from its shelves and refused to cooperate with the House of Books
Moscow store “Young Guard” withdrew from the sale of the book of the writer Boris Akunin (pseudonym Grigory Chkhartishvili). In response, the Zakharov publishing house recalls all of its published books from the store. It reported this on VKontakte.

On the website and social networks of the “Young Guard” there are no reports of Akunin's books being withdrawn from sale, but the author's works could not be found in the electronic catalog of the store.
RBC sent a request to the press service of the Young Guard store. and turned to Akunin for a comment.

Akunin has repeatedly criticized the Russian authorities and condemned the military operation in Ukraine. He is one of the founders of the “Real Russia” movement, designed to help Ukrainian refugees and those who left Russia (the project site is blocked by Roskomnadzor).
